Fire exchange took place between MNP and JSS(M) at Naikkachari (5 km SE from Bangalhalia Army Camp and 3 km NW from Jhankar Para Ansar Camp of KP Z under RM Region). JSS(M) raided on MNP loc. However, no cas was reported.

UPDF(M) org a procession protesting against the four-killing incident at Jamtola (6 km N of Manikchari Army Camp) of SC Z under GM Region.

A protest march and rally led by member of ULDF(M), Sujoy Chakma took place with the plea of arresting killers of their four members in Logung. They also dmd return of armed forces from CHT. Procession started from fresh Bazar to Babuchara College keeping women as shield with approx 80-90 people. The procession cont for 30 mins.

A Bengalee man and a tribal Women got picked up by unknown miscreants from Babupara (approx 1.5 km W of DN ZHQ) of DN Z under KC Region. Later on, it was found that the male and female were misunderstood to be couple. Miscreants left both of them after the confusion was cleared. All of them are safe now.

Chittagong Hills PCP, RM govt College br under the presidency of br president Suniti Chakma, a demonstration in Jurachhari Uz against the alleged land grabbing of a tribe by the Bengali and the army called the tribe to the camp and beat the RM govt college ground protest the procession was held. The following members were present in the said protest march:
i. Charulata Tanchangya, Organizing Secretary, Hill Women's Federation, RM Hill dist br.
ii. Sonarita Chakma, President, Hill Women's Federation, RM govt College br.
iii. Russel Chakma, Vice President, PCP-Santhu, RM govt College br including PCP-Santhu and Hill Women's Federation-Santhu. Also, 120-130 people including other leaders and activists of RM govt College br and tribal students of the college were present in the rally.
(b) Speakers at the rally said that the alleged settlers with the help of the state forces in the hilly areas continued to dispossess the tribals. Far from providing security to the Jumma nation, the army and other law and order forces are causing various incidents of harassment and beatings including eviction of the Jumma family from the land, which is a gross violation of human rights and abuse of power. The speakers in the rally demanded the implementation of the CHT agreement by withdrawing the temporary army camps and APBN camps from the hilly areas.
(c) He also demanded punishment of the torturers involved in the brutal beating of the tribals by the army in Jurachhari UZ and compensation along with the medical expenses of the injured.

UPDF(M) fired 2-3 rds onto MLP comd Kengchai Marma while he was passing through Kumari-Katabon area with 3/4 members. As soon he was ident by UPDF(M), he along with his members were chased by UPDF(M). After reaching Kumari-Kataban area they fell under 2/3 rds of fire by UPDF(M) collector Nayan Marma. It is to be mentioned here the area Kumari-Kataban falls in between LC Z and SC Z AOR. Presently, the comd of MLP and his team took hide near kumaripara area.

Postering was done by the miscreants of UPDF(M) at Ponkhimura and Jouthakhamarpara area of Kengalchari Sub Z. It is learned that miscreants of UPDF(M) have done this as a part of protest cen the issue of Lougong 4 killing incident

Illegal postering was done by UPDF (M) and affiliated parties. The contents of the posters were anti govt and provoking to insurg.

Chatro-Jubo Songhoti Sangho (ছাত্র-যুব সংহতি সংঘ) backed by UPDF(M) postured dmd the arrest of miscreants involved in the murders of Vipul Chakma, Sunil Tripura, Liton Chakma and Ruhin Tripura. They have also claimed involvement of GSO-2(Int), 203 Inf Bde, in the said incident.

Under the presidency of Chairman PCP RM, Jiko Chakma, two org PCP and HWF RM brought out a rally. It started from gymnasium premise and ended infront of DC office. Approx 100 atnd the rally and fol members were present in the said protest march:
(a) Shanti Devi Tangchanga, General Secretary, Hill Women's Federation (Santu) Central Committee.
(b) Ulisingh Marma, Member Hill Women's Federation (Santu) Central Committee.
(c) Mranuching Marma, President, Hill Women's Federation (Santu) Rangamati District Committee.
(d) Nipun Tripura, President PCP (Santu) Central Committee.
(e) Thayaikya Jai Chakma, General Secretary, Pahari Chhatra Parishad (Santu) Central Committee.
(f) Sumitra Chakma, Organizing Secretary, Parbatya Chittagong Youth Association (Santu) RM Hill dist Committee.
(g) Their claim was that on 13 Jan (yesterday) few bengali settlers were trying to grab land of pers named Himayon Chakma, and few tribals were beaten by Army once they talked against land grabbing effort by bengali settlers.

Act Taken by SF. RM Z was monitoring the rally. JC Z is monitoring the issue. Rally claim is fabricated, and effort is being taken to solve the issue. Sit is under con, and involved pers already settled the issue among themselves.

Int src info that, one Bangalee pers named Rofiqul Islam (Bagha), Vill: Bholachola para, UZ: Laxmichari, Dist: Khagrachari was abducted from Bholacholapara Para by UPDF(M) members led by toll collector Chomyoka Chakma as he refused to pay ransom as per their dmd. During the abduction, the miscreants also burnt his house, destroyed his orchard and took 20,000 tk cash and jewelries from his home. Presently the where about of the abducted pers is still unknown. The family members could not info the SFs due to non aval of mobile netwk in that area.

Supporters of UPDF(M), PCP, HWF and DYF org a rally as a protest against the incident that took place in Logang, Panchari, KC last month involving the death of four UPDF(M) members and recent threat by UPDF(D) on public rep as well as dmd ransom. Approx 40-50 pers atnd the rally.

Dmd the safety of public rep an anti-election procession was org by UPDF at Manikchari Jamtola area. Approx 150 UPDF activists participated in that procession. The procession took place for only 15-20 mins.

A protest march was held by UPDF (M) coordinator Sujoy Chakma on DN to Babuchara main rd from Karbaritila to Udalbagan school. It is learnt that, approx 90-100 people were present in the said protest march. They protested against the threat to public representatives and extortion by UPDF (D) and JSS (R). Fol leaders were also present during protest:
i. Pranesh Chakma, Director.
ii. Nayan Chakma, Toll Collector.
iii. Rubel Chakma, Toll Collector.

03 Marma pers were released by armed miscreants of UPDF (M) who abducted them from their houses (Boro Amchari Para of Ward No 07 of Kalampati Union) on 08 Jan. By holistic rescue endeavour by RM Z, miscreants released those pers at around 1900 hr today at Uchupara, close to their own vill. It is learnt that the victims were forced to walk for approx 2-3 hr and taken to an unknown place. Throughout the pd of abduction, they were blindfolded and tortured also. Victims could neither ident the loc nor the miscreants.

i. Chingthuai Pro Marma, Father: Mangthuaipru Marma, Village: Boro Amchari Para, PS: Kawkhali, Dist: Rangamati.
ii. Badu Marma, Father: Sapro Marma, Village: Boro Amchari Para, PS: Kawkhali.

iii. Ajay Marma, Father: Supau Marma, Village: Boro Amchari Para, PS: Kawkhali.
Dist: Rangamati.

i. Victims were taken to Kawkhali UZ Health Complex for their med check up imm. Nec treatment and med was provided by the health complex auth. No maj injuries were reported by Duty MO.
ii. Later on, a ptl of Kawkhali Army Camp escorted the victims to their home.

Panchari Gonoadhikar Rokha Committee backed by UPDF (M), org a protest march and rallies to protest the threats and extortion by UPDF (D) and JSS (R) and to demand the arrest and trial of the killers of Vipul - Sunil - Liton - Ruhin. It is learnt that approx 100-150 people including Mintu Chakma, member of Ward No 5 of Chengi 02 No Union, Ranjit Chakma, member of Ward No 8 and former member Binodh Bihari were present in the said gathering.

03 Marma villagers were abducted from their houses by 10-12 armd miscreants of UPDF (M). These villagers were asked by UPDF (M) not to go to voting cen on 07 Jan. Despite being threatened, they went to voting cen. In that retaliation, miscreants abducted 03 amongst them. Details of the victims are as fol:

(a) Chingthuai Pro Marma, Father: Mangthuaipru Marma, Vill: Boro Amchari, PS: Kawkhali, Dist: Rangamati.
(b) Badu Marma, Father: Sapro Marma, Vill: Boro Amchari, PS: Kawkhali, Dist: Rangamati.
(c) Ajay Marma, Father: Supau Marma, Vill: Boro Amchari, PS: Kawkhali, Dist: Rangamati.

(4) Act Taken By SF. 1x B type ptl from Rubber Bagan Army Camp went to the spot and collected these info. SF is comm with the local rep and ldrs and trying to rescue the victims.

Few unident miscreants fired 5 rds of blank shots at Moulongipara of Manikchari Upazilla to instill fear amongst local people and disrupt post NPE-2024 envt. There had not been any cas due to this incident

A gp of miscreant (07-08 pers) of UPDF (M) led by Collector Sojol Tripura attacked the polling station of New Taichakma Govt. Primary School of Patachhara Union of RG UZ. They hijacked a pickup along with dvr Md Johir (45) to create violence in the elections. Later on, UPDF (M) miscreant has released pickup dvr at about 1910 hrs on 07 Jan 2024. Today 08 Jan 2024 at about 1900 hrs UPDF (M) miscreants has returned also the pickup to RG UZ Jeep Dvrs Association. No casualty was reported

A few unident miscreants fired 2 rds of blank shots in around Chulamoni Kiyang Ghor approx 600 m South of Toikormapara Govt High School, a Polling Cen of Guimara Upazilla. It is learnt that, the aim of the miscreants was to instill fear amongst local people and disrupt NPE-2024. 1x B type ptl from SC Army Camp has conducted domination around the a/m loc. No cas was reported.

Few unident miscreants fired 3 rds of blank shots at approx 2 km East of polling cen Uttar Dharmapur Primary School, Ward 1, Dharmapur Union, Chattogram-2 Fatikchari, to instill fear amongst local people and disrupt NPE-2024. It has been reported that the miscreants are the supporters of Indep Candidate Hossain Md Abu Taiyab. There had not been any cas due to this incident. Overall sit of the area is normal now.

A few unident members of UPDF(M) fired 5/6 rds of blank shots at Depua which is 2 km North of Govamara Polling Sta to instill fear amongst local people and they fled away from the spot imm. There had not been any cas due to this incident.

8/10 armed miscreants led by UPDF miscreant Zian Chakma, abducted 4 activists of the "Nouka" symbol of Ramgarh UZ with the aim of creating panic in the election. Details Addresses of the abductees:
a. Rafiq Tripura (32), Vill: Natunpara, Patachhara, Ramgarh.
b. Japan Tripura (30), Vill: Natunpara, Patachhara, Ramgarh.
c. Rangachay Marma (37), Vill: Notun Para, Patachhara, Ramgarh.
d. Unidentified.
e. It is to be noted that, the abduction has taken place because abductees were promoting "Nouka" symbol.
f. Their families did not register any complaint to the police sta and their families are said to be in self hiding.

UPDF(M) abducted a Ward Member named Kosom Rai Tripura from Jogyachola Union which falls under Batnatoli Army Camp, SC Z on the plea of instilling fear and panic amongst gen people. Later on, he was released at 1430 hrs and was asked not to be involved in any wk related to NPE. UPDF(M) has also abducted Tanu Ching Marma, a vill police from the same area (ward no 3). It is reported that they have also threatened to abduct Kyaju Karbari, Mahamani Para, Manikchari anytime today

A gp of Bengali tourists (15 Members) from KP, RM dist and Rangunia & Ranirhat, Ctg dist climbed Formoon Hill. A gp of 20 unident armed terrorists of UPDF(M) intercepted the tourists at 0700 hrs and took away 15 cell phones from them and detained them for almost 2hrs, while the tourists were descending from the hill. Miscreants were carr 2 local rifle & 4 Local Guns. Rests were carr metal rods in their hand. The armed gp expressed that they don't want this meditation cen as tourist spot rather they want it as an institution for meditation. Later, the tourists were released & the armed gp left the place

A dispute between tribal and Bangalee took place. Approx 200-250 people were assembled to confront each other. This issue instigated from a plea of not paying money after buying a MC ring from a specified shop. UZ Chairman Memong marma mitigated the matter and called both the party to resolve this issue. It is learnt that tomorrow at 1000 hrs, both the gp shall meet the chairman in his office
